16th December 2005 - Craglands shows The Lakes how to take languages to work

Students from The Lakes School, Cumbria, visited Craglands Gift Shop this week, for a hands-on lesson in using languages to boost tourism. Organised in collaboration with the Regional Language Network North West (RLN NW), the visit aimed to show the Year 11 students the benefit of furthering their own language skills.

8th December 2005 - Wigan's cultural understanding translates into economic benefis.

In association with the Regional Language North West (RLN NW), Wigan Citizen's Advice Bureau (CAB) is launching its extended European Union workers' pack into the languages of 8 Accession States (Czech, Estonian, Hungarian, Latvian, Polish, Slovakian, Slovenian, Lithuanian). In doing so, Wigan CAB is ensuring that information essential to pursuing legal employment in the UK is made readily accessible to overseas workers.
