Flixton's Got Talent Language Challenge
Fifteen Year 9 Girls from Flixton Girls High School visit their Business Language Champions Smith and Smith PR in Manchester and showcase their marketing projects to directors Nathan and Jane Smith.

Proudly exhibiting their awards, the sixteen visitors were Flixton Girls High School finalists in the Marketing challenge set by Smith and Smith PR for which they had to create a French brand for a smoothie that contained all five-a-day fruit portions in one single glass!
Work on the marketing challenge began in January and all 200 Year 9 pupils put their language skills and creativity to the test by developing impressive concepts in their French Smoothie PR campaigns. They presented these to a jury panel including Smith and Smith's Alison Doering, who visited the school for the judging and to talk with the girls about her experiences using languages.

Following her visit Alison said, 'it was a fantastic experience and the girls reignited my passion for languages and PR.'
Mrs Hansraj, Flixton's Head of Modern Foreign Languages said, 'I was particularly impressed by the seasonal flavoured smoothies and the customised labels used to market the product. The teams prepared presentations in French for their campaigns and answered all questions confidently when interviewed by the judges.'

Well done Flixton Girls!
